The Lorax

I am the LORAX, I speak for the trees,
which you seem to be chopping as fast as you please!

Every time I see Kate on this tree stump, I think of her love of the Dr. Seuss story, The Lorax. This winter we lost the maple tree that provided wonderful shade and privacy to the front of our house. But in return, Kate gained a "shouting stump"! She climbs up on the stump and yells and yells. Tonight she shouted, "Hello Moon! Do you hear me?? OH MOON!!! MOOOON!!!" Sometimes the stump is just a stage for dancing and jumping. Kate is always about finding the dramatic outlet in any situation!

THis is sooo cute. I've always loved the story of the Lorax. And my kids reminded me of our "thinking rock" that Josh gave us. We even moved it with us from Tacoma to Puyallup. Ask Josh about how big it is and how far he had to haul it.
