Nathan's First Week Home

I know I still owe everyone the "birth story" - which is a good one by the way. However, as you can imagine, time is limited these days. So for now, I am going to post a few snapshots of our first week home with Nathan. Enjoy!

Nathan has Arrived!

Here are a few of the first-day pictures of Nathan Edward Henry. He was born at 11:48am on 4/8/10. More pictures and stories later, but here some pictures of his first few moments with us.

Kate has always loved her "Taggy." She wanted to give Nathan his first taggy right when he was born.

Due Date Shmoo Date

Well, it's April 7th! I guess someone forget to tell Nathan he was supposed to be born already! I suppose there technically are still four hours in the day until his due date has officially passed. But we're hoping he is not too long in coming. These pictures were taken two and a half weeks ago (March 27th) when my wedding ring still fit on my finger, and my sneakers still fit on my feet. Now imagine me even two weeks larger...not a really pretty sight these days. :)

We went to the doctors on Monday and there was little to no dilation yet. I have another appointment on Friday. And if the little fella has not come by this weekend I will be induced on Monday. So at least there is an end in sight. It's hard waiting. But all in all we just want a safe delivery and a healthy baby. We are trusting God for His perfect timing regarding Nathan's arrival. But I'll still urge him to make his appearance tonight if possible. :)

Happy Easter!

Doesn't this face sum it all up! What joy! What excitement! What a wonderful weekend we had. Grandma Ann arrived in Baltimore at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday night. Kate has enjoyed every minute with her since. Grandma decided to teach Kate how to dye Easter eggs. Something Mommy wanted to do but didn't have the energy or ambition to do at this point in my pregnancy. Thank you Grandma Ann for making such a special memory for Kate.

Kate picked out one egg for everyone that would be at our Easter dinner on Sunday. She picked the colors herself and wanted to give everyone an egg as a gift. Fast forward to dinner on Sunday. Grandma pulls out the eggs for Kate to distribute. She announces to the crowd, "Listen everyone! I have eggs. Five dollars please!" My brother, Brian, talked her down from five dollars to one dollar. And low and behold she made a little money this evening! Somehow the original generous giving that we were so excited about got lost in translation. But we all laughed. Watch out world...we have a go getter here!
