Happy Thanksgiving

We wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends and family, near and far away. You are in our thoughts today, and we are grateful for your involvement in our lives.

We are heading over to the Gallagher's house for the big meal today. Thanksgiving is almost as big as Christmas in my family. I traditionally bring the apples pies (anywhere from 2 to 6 depending on people), the cornbread and some other dessert item. This year I made a chocolate espresso pecan pie per Josh's request and some corn pudding that is one of my favorites. I also attempted two apple pies, but baking with a three month old nearby is not easy. So we took some short cuts this year--don't tell. We'll have a full house today -16 or 17 I think.

In honor of the day, I thought I'd do a top 10 list of things we're grateful for this year:

  1. The arrival of our beautiful daughter, Kate.

  2. The precious gift of sleep

  3. The health and well being of our family

  4. God's blessing on Josh's business

  5. And His provision for our family

  6. Family and friends that have visited and helped us with Kate in the rough days

  7. Dr. Tedesco for alleviating Kate's pain and helping us get to know a joyful baby

  8. The generosity of so many people as they welcomed Kate into our family

  9. Bottles and Baby Mozart (Kate wanted those added in.)

  10. Doggie Bones (Shalya's 2 cents)

We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! We hope to have some pictures to post later today.
